I thought it was time for a little Kansas City Update!
Season is here!!! For the last game of preseason, several of the Chief’s women got together and tailgated! We had such a good time sweating our butts off and catching up before things get crazy! I left the camera but we did take a phone picture.
We have a potluck dinner coming up! I am having such a hard time choosing the perfect recipe. If you have a winner feel free to share. I think I’m going to consult my grandmother and all her cookbooks.
If you haven’t heard, there is a new safety policy forcing women to bring plastic Ziplocs or cheap plastic totes in place of purses. I have accepted the new challenge of taking this otherwise blah accessory and “making it work” as Tim Gunn would put it. I have 2 weeks to work within the NFLs new parameters and come up with a game day ensemble.
Also, I have a new home DIY project in the works! I bought this awesome old windowpane at the farmers market last week for $10. I plan to refinish and repaint the window frame and display some family photos in it.
The wedding is 9 months away! Jeff and I are setting time aside to take care of wedding details and I have decided to take on a health challenge. If it’s not obvious, I LOVE to eat. This is actually one of our favorite pastimes—eating. Sometimes things can get out of hand and I really have to buckle down and clean up my diet. This doesn’t mean boring chicken and veggies everyday, I’m just going to focus more on portion size and less mindless snacking. To aide my health journey I signed up for the Fusion Fitness Amp Camp . It’s an 8-week camp full of women with the same goal in mind: a healthier lifestyle in a safe environment. We will have weekly weigh- ins, fitness challenges, and exchange healthy recipes! Hopefully Jeff will sign off on a few of the recipes and they will make it on the blog. There will be updates once camp gets started on the 29th.
I have all sorts of projects going on but acknowledgement needs to go towards Jeff as he ignores the messes, tastes ALL my recipes, and utters nothing more than I know you can do it! Thanks for the support! I Love you!
